What is one
of the most common aspects of afterlife reports?
|
The
experience of self and others in the afterlife.
|
|
Do personal
relationships continue in the afterlife?
|
Many have
reported meeting loved ones, including pets.
|
|
Are there
spatial/temporal relationships there?
|
There is
spatial relation and duration in time
|
|
independence
and random
|
C. S.
Peirce's universal-continuity theory would tell us
to, until we find otherwise, assume things are the
same rather than different.
|
|
What is the
same in both earthlife and afterlife?
|
The Cosmic
Constants:
Self-identity,
evolution, spatial relation, synchronic/diachronic
experience,
|
|
What is the
same but more intense in the afterlife?
|
Visual and
emotional perception
|
|
imagination
= reality
In this
life, our imagination is our sixth sense.
|
Some report
that in the afterlife, imagination becomes real,
and that one can create one's experience including
how one appears to others.
In the
afterlife, one can create things with the powers
of the mind.
|
|
Is the
afterlife still stellar based?
|
Yes
|
|
Can
afterlife reports be considered scientific
evidence?
|
Yes
|
|
A fairly
frequent report is the experience of moving
through a tunnel toward a bright light during the
death experience.
|
It may be
an illusion caused by convergent light, i.e.,
light that does not radiate away from a source but
converges to it. Thus it is a light surrounded by
darkness.
|
|
Is the
afterlife mind faced one way in time as is the
earthlife mind?
|
Yes, but
the direction of causality is from the future to
the past. On the other hand, it is the same as in
the earthlife in that it is still from what is
known toward the unknown.
|
|
Can
afterlife reports be considered evidence?
|
Yes
|
|
Is
afterlife experience subject to the
synchrony/diachrony limitation as it is here?
|
At least
those who have come back describe experience there
as such.
|
|
Does the
self exist after the end of the epoch when our sun
bursts forth from its 'black hole' or 'Heaven'
stage?
|
The
so-called black hole, is a star in the buildup
phase of its eternal cycle. The sun, after a great
period of time, a cosmic epoch, will become a
black hole' for a very long time, permitting its
organisms to be in 'heaven'. But that too will
cycle back to earth-life existence.
|
|
What might
be said about afterlife society or social systems?
|
Possibly
quite similar to earthlife
|
|
Is there
only physical energy?
|
No, there
is not only physical energy, e.g., electricity,
but living energy, e.g., biological, mental.
|
|
What is the
difference between the two types of energy?
|
Physical
energy tends to decline, living energy tends to
build up.
|
|
Is the
afterlife eternal or does it too come to an end?
|
According
to Sidis's theory, our stellar system, after a
great period of time, a cosmic epoch, will become
a 'black hole' for an equally long time,
permitting its organisms to be in 'heaven'. But
that too will cycle back to earth-type existence.
|
|
Does
evolution continue after the afterlife?
|
Evolution
is apparently synchronic, that is, it continues in
the afterlife. So may random, continuity, and the
synchronic/diachronic perception constant.
|
|
Visiting
the Afterlife?
Can one
have the ability to experience the afterlife at
will?
|
Some report
that they can go and return, and teach others how
to do so. Monroe Institute
|
|
Is
'death' only a transition period?
|
This is a
period of time where mind is at first still
conscious, at least visually, of this life, and
sees the usual past-future causality, is aware of
duration. But most of all it is the first
experience of the freedom created by leaving the
body, and a much reported increase in the
experience of cosmic love.
b) The
light at the end of the tunnel illusion may be
caused by convergent light, i.e., light that does
not radiate away from a source but converges to
it.
c. But
after 'entering the light', i.e., full transition
to the afterlife, earthlife is no longer visible,
causal direction reverses, and the imagination
becomes the real. Thus, any excursions into
earthlife by afterlife individuals will be
experienced by them as acts of imagination. They
will have only limited experience of our world
just like ours of theirs.
|
|
What sort
of communication between selves takes place?
|
In the
afterlife, our thoughts are no longer private, but
become known to all around us. People of the same
kind of thoughts are drawn to each other because
it is too threatening to be with others with whom
we disagree when they know it.
Communication
in the afterlife is by thought, mind-to-mind.
